Rev. Rhonda Hart is the Pastor of Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church Fenwick in Pilesgrove, New Jersey. Her spiritual walk has been of obedience to the will of the Lord on her life and she finds her joy and strength in the Lord. She was ordained as an Itinerant Elder of the A.M.E. Church in 2019 by the Rt. Rev. Gregory G.M. Ingram Presiding Prelate of the First Episcopal District. Rev. Hart has steadfastly served in her call through community outreach and youth ministry as the founder of the St. James A.M.E. Church CHOICES After-School program. She additionally serves on the board of Bright’s Villa, Inc. She understands the power of prayer and knows that “prayer changes things”.
Rev. Hart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Montclair State University and has earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hospitality Management. She is a graduate of Payne Theological Seminary, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree in May 2019 and is studying towards her Doctor of Ministry degree in the cohort, Transforming Traditional Congregations in the Twenty First Century.
Rev. Hart has a vision in ministry that embraces God’s creation with God’s love through service and activism. An advocate for the disenfranchised, she strongly believes in the liberating presence of God through the Holy Spirit.Rev. Hart is employed in Information Technology at AtlantiCare Health Systems. She is blessed to be a member of a family with a rich legacy of Christian service and leadership and currently lives in Pleasantville, NJ and is the caregiver for her mother, Camille. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me and she fervently believes that the Lord Jesus is the Light of the World.
