Our Mission

The mission and purpose of Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church Fenwick is based on the doctrine and discipline of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (“the Discipline”). 


The Mission of the A.M.E. Church is to minister to the social, spiritual, and physical development of all people.The ultimate purposes are; make available God’s biblical principles, spread Christ’s liberating gospel, and provide continuing programs which will enhance the entire social development of all people.

Our Services

Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Fenwick is aligned with the mission and purpose of the A.M.E. Church engaging in ministry that upholds the spirit of the Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Church evolved; to seek out and save the lost through a continuing program of (1) preaching the gospel, (2) feeding the hungry, (3) clothing the naked, (4) housing the homeless, (5) cheering the fallen, (6) providing jobs for the jobless, (7) administering to the needs of those in prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, asylums and mental institutions, senior citizens’ homes; caring for the sick, and shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, (8) encouraging thrift and economic advancement. God is amazing! This purpose developed over 200 years ago is relevant to the ministry of today. God proves to us time and time again that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Our Vision

Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Fenwick will encourage and inspire all to love God and to love God’s creation. Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Fenwick will strive as a church family to positively impact the lives of all those encountered, through the liberating and transforming power of the Holy Spirit the preached and taught Word of God, prayer and the divine hand of Godin service. The light of Christ will guide our path.
